We were stoked to bring back the Spring Fling Skim Jam to North Jetty this year! The weather couldn't have treated us any better and the water was crystal clear. Unfortunately, the waves were lacking but all the contestants made the most of the conditions and the vibes were at an all time high. It's always a great time when all our Professional riders come into town to support the skim event and hang with the next generation of rippers.
One of the many bright spots of the day is when the Professional riders put on a demo for the crowd. We offered up prize money for the best trick and John Akerman ended up taking the crown with a crazy 540 bigger spin. Yahir Valencia came in 2nd Place with a massive 3 shuv over his brother. The crowd was left speechless after all the action.
All the contestants made the most of the sub par conditions on the day. Those who placed in the finals got hooked up with some amazing prizes thanks to our wonderful sponsors. For full results, see the link below.
