Overhead Surf Shop held their Hot D@mn Pro Am Contest today at Madeira Beach today. Waves were fun for the event around knee to thigh high which is good for gulf of Florida this time of the year. Zap Skimboard’s pro riders Stephen Bradford, John Akerman, and Dave “Monster” Armstrong competed in the event with Akerman advancing the farthest with a 2nd place finish. Akerman and Brad Domke battled it out in the finals landing really technical maneuvers. Akerman landed a 720 bigspin in both his semi-final and final heats but Brad’s switch variations beat out Akerman by half a point in the final!
