Day 2 of the Outer Banks Skim Jam was much better then the first. The wind was light to almost nonexistent, the sun was out, and the waves were pretty fun most of the day. Pro women’s rider Casey Kiernan took 1st place at the event, winning back to back contest since she took first at Victoria Championships a few weeks ago. Newest Zap pro men’s rider Gordon Levin advanced to the the semi-finals displaying his various technical skills, which included a 540 shovit out the wave then throwing a big spin down the line. Pretty impressive! Amateur standout Naji Taha took first in his division, while Casey Ritzer took 4th and Sam McCoy 3rd place in their divisions. Next stop is the Amateur Championships up in Dewey Beach, Delaware August 9th & 10th. Hope to see you there and make sure to check out the photos from OBX Day 2 below. Enjoy!
