Our last day in Cape Verde, Africa was a great one. Mega and I hosted a skim contest for the locals at the main beach in Santa Maria. We had some help from the Beach Club restaurant who supplied power and music. We also had some help from a few local friends to announce and judge. Waves were small but really clean and fun. The contest when great and we had a large crowd for the finals that hyped the skimmers up! After the event we went to the Beach Club restaurant where the winners got prizes of Zap hats, board bags, boards, and gear. All in all is was a great first skim contest in Cape Verde that ended with nothing but positive vibes and a fun after party. Checkout some photos from the event below.
