The 35th Annual Zap Amateur World Championships in Dewey Beach was an exciting and HOT event! Contestants flocked to the contest from all over like Costa Rica, France, California, and all over the Eastern seaboard of the United States. The level of skimboarding was at an all time for these Amateurs as they were putting down crazy combinations of maneuvers all weekend long. We were graced with a nice long period south swell that sets up perfectly for Dewey Beach and its well known liners it puts on offer that we had on tap all weekend. The demo boards we brought got great use all weekend with the conditions and the fan favorite seemed to be the Chimp model for the groms! It was fun to watch the kids catch the liners that set up perfectly for them. As always, we enjoyed coming to Dewey Beach and supporting the event that SkimUSA puts a great effort in making it one of the best of the season. Without all the volunteers and others supporting the event, there would be no way this would be possible and we thank you guys for allowing us to come back every year!
