Summer is officially in full swing up in Delaware as team manager Jason Wilson and team rider Sydney Pizza kicked off their summer of skim camps at Alley Oop this past week with the first of two “Girls Only” Skim Clinics! The clinic was a two day event from 5pm to 7pm each day, jam packed full of fun and all things skim. They had a record high attendance of 17 female rippers ranging from ages as young as 5 to 12 and all skill levels from beginners who have never touched a board to advanced riders looking to hone in their skills!
Pizza and her instructor crew consisting of upcoming female shredders Rylea Sinex, Brynne and Lyla Fox, & Savannah Hope taught the girls everything from the basics of a one-step drop to improving their wave riding techniques. They even shared their personal secrets to landing 3-shuvs and big spins. It was a hit and by the end of the clinic, every little girl had a smile worth a million bucks on their faces and had all gotten at least a handful of successful slides under their belts!
