The 2nd and final day of the OBX Skim Jam was just as fun as the first. The first half of the day the waves were really fun with the incoming tide and offshore winds. Zap Pro riders Jason Wilson and Dave Scott battled through quarter and semi-finals to meet Sam Stinnett and Perry Pruitt in the finals. The waves were not as good as the morning heats with the tide coming in too high making the waves have a trough in front of them. Nonetheless all four pros made the most of the conditions with Perry taking 1st, Sam 2nd, Dave 3rd, and Jason 4th. Congrats to AM riders Joe Ryce for taking 1st in the Sr. Mens division and 3rd in Semi-Pro, Helen Holt for taking 3rd in the women’s, Patrick Monigle for taking 3rd in the boy’s, and Sam McCoy for placing in the Semi Pro division.
