This past Saturday was the 5th Annual Skim Scare event down in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Hurricane Sandy happened to hit a day before the event so the waves were huge and breaking way out on the outer reef. There was still some reform skim hitting the beach and all the competitors made the most of the conditions even with the strong offshore winds. Congrats to team rider Connor Bowden for taking 2nd in the men’s division and 1st in the overall best trick contest. All in all it was a great event and thanks to BC Surf and Sport for putting it on.
