Day 1 at the Vilano Pro/Am was fun. There was a solid waist high plus swell and the surf was looking fun in the am. Unfortunately the tide didn’t push in as high as expected and the waves stayed off the beach all day. The pro heats were still stacked and the competition was tough as always. Zap Pro riders Jason Wilson, John Akerman, Dave Scott, and Derick Shenton all advanced to the quarter finals. Zap Am rider Chris Brown also advanced through his heats today.
