TEAM | Welcome Pan Yuan-Hsuan to Zap!
The newest member of team Zap comes to us all the way from Taiwan! Pan Yuan-Hsuan is a super passionate skimmer who has been working very hard to get skimboarding more attention in Taiwan and it’s paying off! Usually riding the north and west beaches of Taiwan with his crew, we are super stoked to bring Pan onto the team. Get to know him a little better below!

VIDEO | "Couch Catch Up" Episode 3 with Sonny Aporbo
We're back with episode 3 of "Couch Catchup" is back with international team rider, Sonny Aporbo! Sonny comes to us all the way from the Philippines. He's known for his high intensity style of skimming and goes about as big as anyone else out there! He was able to come over to the US for the first time this season to compete on tour and ride as many spots as possible. We had a blast with Sonny this past season!

Coming off a huge skim season finishing 2nd on the Skim USA Tour and 9th on the United Skim Tour, Mason Broussard is not slowing down! After over a month of couch skimming the East Coast leg of the skim tour, he headed back to California to handle some unfinished skate business.

RECAP | 2024 Oktoberfest in Newport Beach, CA
The 19th Annual Oktoberfest presented by Exile Skimboards, at Balboa’s Pier in Newport Beach, California went down this past weekend, and was not something you wanted to miss. The Zap team geared up and got to work as this was the last stop on the United Skim Tour for the 2024 season, being the sixth stop for the men and the fourth stop for the women. One of the closest and most exciting title races that the sport has seen in quite some time all boiled down to this weekend, for both the men and the women.

RECAP | 20th Annual Skimbash Podiums
This past weekend on September 7th & 8th the Sea Bright Skim Bash celebrated 20 years of skimboarding competition in Sea Bright, NJ with 119 participants. The event was organized by the Jersey Shore Skim Camp and also the final stop on the 2024 Skim USA Tour.
Vibes were high all weekend with many long time New Jersey skimmers in attendance to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Despite difficult conditions and stormy weather to start competition on Saturday, riders and the Skim USA crew pushed through to put on a great show. The mayor even showed up to welcome riders and acknowledge how important the skim community is to Sea Bright!

EVENT RECAP | '24 Mulligan's Skim Jam Podiums & More
This last weekend, the Zap team took to Vero Beach, FL for the 5th stop of the United Skim Tour, the 2024 Mulligan’s Skim Jam. The conditions were how you would expect an east coast FL contest to be but that didn’t stop the crew from having a blast either way! Put on by Shore Lb., the contest was fun, chill and featured plenty of riders from all over, including 28 professional riders.

'24 Mulligan's Skim Jam THIS WEEKEND!
The fifth stop of the United Skim Tour, the ‘24 Mulligan’s Skim Jam, presented by Shore Lb., in Vero Beach, FL goes down on Aug. 30-31st! This contest is in its 17th year and it only gets better and better every year! This event counts towards both pro men and pro women’s standing on the UST and with the scores being as close as they are, this contest will definitely have an impact on the overall outcome! This is also the first time since 2019 that the Shore Lb. team is bringing the UST back to Florida! Our boy Gerardo Valencia took the win last year. Will he be able to do it again? VIDEO | ‘24 OBX Skim Jam Recap
The ‘24 OBX Skim Jam was the latest stop on the Skim USA / United Skim Tour and you know Zap was there to be a part of it! Going down on July 26-28th, the Outer Banks provided some awesome skimming conditions for the 165+ competitors that spanned from Mini Girls and Boys all the way to the heavy pro division!

EVENT RECAP | Zap Pro/Am World Championship of Skimboarding - Day 2
We got right into the action at the 2nd day of the Zap World Championships with the Professionals kicking off the day. The conditions were completely different with tropical storm Debbie making her exit. The waves were very fun in the 2-3’ range and super glassy to start out in the morning. The Professionals made the most of it with many rides scoring in the 7+ category. It was not a fun day to be a judge with there being many tightly contested heats! There was 4 rounds of Men’s Professional and 2 rounds of Women’s Professional run today.

EVENT RECAP | Zap Pro/Am World Championship of Skimboarding - Day 1
The 2024 Zap World Championships kicked off today in Dewey Beach, Delaware with blustery conditions. Tropical storm Debbie brought 30+ MPH sustained winds which caused for tricky conditions for all the competitors. Luckily, we skipped out on the rain and were able to stay on schedule for the day.
